A Messenger with a Message
In the account of Jesus' birth given in the Gospel of Luke there are two messengers. The first issues a decree from Caesar, the second an announcement from God. The first message is bad news, the second contains wonderfully good news. The first implied threat, the second brought joy. Their difference is what makes Christmas so lastingly relevent for our own lives - whatever our age.
Join us this Sunday Morning at 10:30am for our Christmas Family Service. There will be carols, readings, a Christmas 'play' (don't expect Shakespearean quality!) and a short talk. It will be our usual mix of chaos and fun - to remind us of the good news of great joy that second messenger brought.
There will be no evening service. Instead, we encourage all to come to the morning service as we gather as a church family.
